Our Team
Pastor - Dan Hues
At the age of five, Pastor Dan knew he wanted to be a pastor. God had placed in him the dream of pointing others to Christ and loving them along the journey. After he graduated from Concordia Portland, he completed his vicarage at Redeemer Lutheran in Fresno, CA, and his Masters in Theology and Culture through the CMC program at Concordia - Irvine and St. Louis Seminary. His first call was to Redeemer-Fresno as full time associate, and after approximately three years, accepted a call to serve as sole Pastor at Zion Lutheran Church in Portland.
Pastor Dan and his wife, Melody, have two beloved daughters, Harmony (9) and Cadence (6). Pastor Dan and his family came to Clovis in January 2022 and are enthused to serve at Emmanuel. Pastor Dan recently received his Doctor of Ministry in Spiritual Formation and Leadership through Portland Seminary.
In addition to serving as Pastor at Emmanuel, Pastor Dan co-owns a Spanish Language Immersion School called 123 Habla with his wife, Melody. He is also a certified trainer with Prepare/Enrich, an organization that boasts the #1 relationship assessment for the last 40 years. Dan is passionate about seeing relationships thrive.

In addition to this, Melody, leads Emmanuel Kids church every Sunday. Melody also runs her own Spanish language immersion school called 123 Habla.
Vicar - Dave Singer
Vicar Dave and his wife, Imelda, were married in 1992 and have two children, Lily and Jack. Dave worked in agriculture while attending college, graduating with a Bachelor's in History from Fresno State. He also served in the Army National Guard, was a volunteer fireman and worked as an emergency medical technician on an ambulance. Although raised in farming, Dave leaned into a more dynamic lifestyle and eventually joined the California Highway Patrol. He currently serves as a lieutenant in the Merced office.
Dave and Imelda became members of Emmanuel Lutheran in 2011. They both found the congregation welcoming and the sermons grounded in solid biblical principles. They baptized their children here. In 2021, Dave felt a calling toward pastoral ministry. Working first with Pastor Ed Kruger and then with Pastor Dan Hues, they both and agreed and recommended Dave to our district as a pastoral candidate for the Concordia St. Louis Specific Ministry Program. Dave began his education at the seminary in January 2023, and hopes to graduate in 2027.
The Emmanuel congregation has been so supportive, I feel very blessed and excited to serve this community as i transition to a new career, a new vocation, as a LCMS Pastor.
